- Log in to My BT
- Click Manage your payments to set up your Direct Debit
New to My BT?
- Sign up and go to My BT (you'll need your email address and account number)
- Click Manage your payments to set up your Direct Debit

Choose how to pay your bill
You can choose from two ways to pay your BT bill by Direct Debit:
- Monthly Payment Plan – A Monthly Payment Plan lets you spread the cost of your bills by making regular monthly payments directly from your bank or building society. When you set up a Monthly Payment Plan we'll agree how much you'll pay, and which date your account will be debited each month.
- Whole Bill Direct Debit – A Whole Bill Direct Debit is where you pay your whole BT bill automatically from your bank or building society account. We will tell you how much you're paying and when on the first page of your bill.
It's easy to set up
It couldn't be easier to set up your Direct Debit, all you need is your:
- Bank details – account number and sort code
- BT account number – you'll find at the top of your latest bill.

*The legal stuff
Payment processing fee – Save £22.68 a year when you switch to Direct Debit. From 1 May 2007, BT introduced a fee for customers who do not pay by Direct Debit or Monthly Payment Plan. It is a discrete charge for methods of payment which cost BT more to process. The payment processing fee is charged by BT Payment Services Ltd, a separate BT Group company. If you pay by Monthly Payment Plan or Whole Bill Direct Debit, this fee will not be incurred. Find out more about the Payment Processing Fee.
