Just dial 1471 to find out the telephone number of the last person who called you (unless the number is withheld, unavailable or came from a switchboard extension number).
BT Answer 1571 voicemail
BT Answer 1571 is a great, easy to use voicemail service – just dial 1571 from your home phone to check your messages.
You can also record a personalised greeting free of charge.
BT Privacy at Home
BT Privacy at Home gives you more control over incoming calls by registering you for the Telephone Preference Service which helps stop unwanted sales calls.
It also includes Caller Display so you can see the number of the person who's calling before you answer.
You can sign up to just one of these Calling Features, or for bigger discounts choose two or more to create your Calling Features Pack.

Call Diversion
Divert your calls to another landline phone or mobile. Calls that can't get through to your home phone will still reach you on another fixed line or mobile of your choice.
Caller Display
Caller Display shows you the number of the person calling, so you can decide whether to pick up the phone or leave it to your answering service. If you sign up for BT Privacy at Home, Caller Display is FREE.
Call Waiting
Call Waiting gently bleeps to tell you that a second call is on the line. You can either put the first caller on hold and speak to the second caller, or end your first call and speak to the second caller.
Ring Back
If you make a call to an engaged number, just dial '5' and Ring Back will call you when the number becomes free.
Call Barring
Call Barring lets you decide which types of calls can be made from your phone so you're in control of who uses it and how.
3 Way Calling
Talk with two other callers at the same time. 3 Way calling lets three of you have your say on a call, wherever the other two callers are in the world.

BT Privacy at Home with Free Caller Display – A minimum call requirement of 2 calls per month is associated with this product. Calls can be chargeable or those included with your chosen call plan. A charge of £2.70 applies in each month that you do not make the required number of calls. Calls to the following numbers will not count towards the minimum call requirement: 0800/0808/0500 Freephone numbers; 100/198/155 Operator; 112/998/999 Emergency services; 150 BT Customer Services; 151 BT Fault Reporting; 195 Blind and Disabled Directory Enquiries; 1471/1571. Calls made using BT Broadband Talk and Chargecard are also excluded.
BT residential customers making some calls on the BT network can opt in to receive Caller Display for free, subject to availability. Analogue lines only. Caller Display equipment required. Numbers will not be registered if the call is from payphones; some switchboards; non-BT networks; or where a caller's number is withheld.

BT Answer 1571 voicemail – The call return feature will not be available if the person leaving the message has chosen to withhold their number or if the call was from an international number. Customers who use Call Barring should note that calls to 1571 will be barred under outgoing Call Barring option 1, this is because calling 1571 may lead to a chargeable call. A facility fee of 17.7p, will also be charged for the call set up attempt.
Some social alarm and burglar alarm equipment may not be compatible with BT Answer 1571. Please check with your supplier.

BT 1471 – Dialling BT 1471 without using Call Return is free. The Call Return feature of BT 1471 costs a fixed fee of 17.7p. The fee will apply when you press 3 to return your last caller's call. This charge applies whether or not the call is connected. If you don't want your number to be obtained through Caller Display or Call Return (1471), dial 141 before making your call. 1471 cannot disclose the number if the number is withheld, unavailable or the call came from a switchboard extension number.
Caller Display – Caller Display cannot disclose the number if the number is withheld or unavailable. Caller Display equipment is required. Caller Display requires a compatible phone, (available at BT Shop online or from other suppliers). Numbers will not be displayed if the call is from payphones, some switchboards, non-BT network or where a caller's number is withheld.
Call Minder – Call Minder cannot identify a number if the number if withheld or unavailable. Some social alarm and burglar alarm equipment may not be compatible with BT Call Minder. Please check with your supplier.
Anonymous Call Reject – Anonymous Call Reject will not bar incoming calls when the number is 'unavailable' (when the caller has not made any attempt to withhold their number). This can happen in a number of cases, like, for example, if the call originates from an overseas provider.
