How to set up BT Wi-fi on your device
Our wi-fi apps make it easier than ever to get online for free, without eating into your mobile phone or tablet data allowance. Using your free BT Wi-fi is really simple but if you need some help getting started, just select your device below and we'll show you how it works.
Connect laptop or PC
- Switch on wi-fi
- Click Start, then Connect to
- Click BT Wi-fi, BT Fon or BT Openzone
- Click Connect and open your internet browser
- Select BT Total Broadband and log in with your details

Connect Blackberry
- Open Blackberry App World and search for 'BT Wi-fi'
- Scroll down, find and select BT Wi-fi
- Choose download and follow the on-screen instructions
- Open app, click set up now; you'll need your BTinternet email & password
- Go to wi-fi settings to select BT Wi-fi, BT Fon or BT Openzone for the first time
- When you're in a hotspot, open up the app and you will be connected

Connect iPhone or iPad
- Open App Store, search for BT Wi-fi
- Click BT Wi-fi, then Free, then Install
- Enter iTunes password, click OK
- On home screen, select BT Wi-fi
- Select I'm a BT Broadband customer
- Click on set up now
- Register details and accept Ts & Cs
- Click on activate
- In a hotspot, open wi-fi settings
- Connect to BT Wi-fi, BT Fon, or BT Openzone, open app which will log you in, close app, open your internet browser

Connect Android
- Open Android Market, search for BT Wi-fi
- Click BT Wi-fi, then Install
- Once it has installed, select Open
- Select I'm a BT Broadband customer
- Click on set up now
- Register details and accept Ts & Cs
- Click on activate
- In a hotspot, connect to BT Wi-fi, BT Fon, or BT Openzone
- You can select Auto-connect for future use

Forgotten your BT email address or password?
If you have BT Broadband, you'll have an email address from when you first joined us. This is the same email address you use with your BT Yahoo! account.
You'll need this email address to log in to one of our wi-fi hotspots. If you've forgotten your email address or password, we can easily send you a reminder.
