How to set up BT Wi-fi

Our wi-fi apps make it easier than ever to get online for free, without eating into your mobile phone or tablet data allowance. Using your free BT Wi-fi is really simple. With a variety of apps for the latest devices or the opportunity to get online via your browser, we want to make it easier than ever to get online at our hotspots. Just select your device below and we'll show you how it works.

Connect laptop or PC

If you don't want to use the BT Wi-fi app, you can still connect through your browser on any laptop or mobile device.

Connect to BT Wi-fi, BT Fon or BT Openzone in your wi-fi settings, open your browser and the login in page will appear.

Simply login as a BT Broadband customer with your BT ID to get online.

Connect Blackberry

The quickest way to connect to BT Wi-fi is to download the BT Wi-fi app to your Blackberry device.

Search for 'BT Wi-fi' in Blackberry World to download and enter your BT ID to get started.

Once the app is set up, open up the app each time you are in a BT Wi-fi, BT Fon or Openzone hotspot to connect without the need to enter your BT ID username and password.

Accessing BT Wi-fi abroad

You can connect to wi-fi at any BT Fon hotspot around the world - anywhere that you see the "FON" wi-fi signal.

If you have a @btinternet.com or @btopenworld address you can connect to these hotspots using this address and password.

If you have a BT ID or an address that isn't a @btinternet.com or @btopenworld address, you can log on to any of these hotspots by entering 'BT/'' before your BT ID email address.
