Your Terms and Conditions for Telephone Service

Your Contract for Telephone Service is made up of the Residential Standard Terms, the Conditions for BT Telephony, the Tariff Guide and the appropriate special Offer/Deal terms detailed below.

Some Calling Plans, Deals or Offers are not available to take with some lines and services. All prices detailed below are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated and all prices are subject to change. BT reserves the right to withdraw any Calling Plan, Offer or Deal at any time.

These terms and conditions come into effect from 27th January 2012.

Current Connection and Line Rental Offers

Standard Line Rental

Currently £14.60 a month with Direct Debit, otherwise add £1.89 per month payment processing fee levied by BT Payment Services Limited, a BT Group company.

Line Rental Saver

Available to new and existing residential customers for a single advance payment of £120.00 (inc VAT). Payment by debit/credit card only. Line Rental Saver charge is non-refundable. Must be taken with a BT calling plan. Provides 12 months standard telephone line rental with no minimum contract term for a reduced equivalent monthly charge of £10.00 when taken with the Unlimited Weekend Plan (normally £14.60), £13.15 with the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan (normally £17.75) or £14.90 with the Unlimited Anytime Plan (normally £19.50). Normal monthly prices quoted are with payment by Direct Debit, paper-free billing and include VAT. Minimum call commitment: You must make at least 2 chargeable or inclusive calls per month (6 calls per quarter). Otherwise, you'll need to pay a charge of £1.50 for every month (if you are billed monthly) or £4.50 for every quarter (if you are billed quarterly) in which you don't make these calls, as compensation for not making the minimum number of calls. These charges are not subject to VAT and will appear in the one-off charges section of your bill. Not available to customers benefiting from some special offers or deals. Conditions apply.

Line Connection Charge for £40.00 Deal – 18 month minimum term.

Customers taking this deal will benefit from a £90.00 discount on the standard line connection charge of £130.00. Available to eligible new and existing customers agreeing to an 18 month contract on the Unlimited Weekend Plan (£14.60 per month), the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan (£17.75 per month) or the Unlimited Anytime Plan (£19.50 per month). Monthly Call Plan prices quoted include line rental charges (currently £14.60) and are with payment by Direct Debit. Otherwise add £1.89 per month for payment processing fee levied by BT Payment Services Limited, a BT Group company. Discount is via bill credit, which will be applied to your next or subsequent bill. Minimum call commitment applies – you must make at least 10 chargeable or inclusive calls per month (30 calls per quarter). You'll need to pay a charge of £5.15 for every month (if you are billed monthly) or £15.45 for every quarter (if you're billed quarterly) in which you don't make these calls, as compensation for not making the minimum number of calls required. These charges are not subject to VAT and will appear in the one-off charges section of your bill. This deal can only be taken up once during the initial contract period. If you decide to end your contract within the minimum term, you will incur a single charge of £2.50 (on the Unlimited Weekend Plan), £3.00 (on the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan) or £5.50 (on the Unlimited Anytime Plan) for each month left of the minimum term. Within the minimum term, you may upgrade your Calling Plan, but you cannot downgrade your calling plan except where you are eligible for, and are moving to BT Basic. General Exclusions and Fair Use Policies

Call Plans let you make inclusive calls at no extra charge at the following times:

Unlimited Weekend Plan	All day Saturday and Sunday
Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan	7.00pm – 7.00am Monday – Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday
Unlimited Anytime Plan	All day, every day

All Call Plans feature:

Calls to UK* local and national numbers at no additional charge. *UK means calls of up to an hour to Local and National numbers beginning 01, 02 and 03. Excluded calls include non-geographic numbers (e.g. 0871), Premium Rate services, operator-controlled calls, calls to the internet, information and paging services, local, national and all non-geographic numbers used to dial up ISP's, other non voice calls and calls to the Channel Islands.
Calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers of up to an hour (excluding indirect access numbers and dial-up Internet access). Fair use policy applies – maximum 1,000 minutes or 150 calls a month. If either of these limits on inclusive calls is exceeded, BT will charge for these calls until further notice.

The limits and application of fair use policies are subject to change. Details of such changes will be published online at www.bt.com.

Unlimited Weekend Plan

Unlimited Weekend Plan – standard plan

The Unlimited Weekend Plan is available to eligible residential customers, with no minimum term. Exclusions and conditions apply. Please note, a minimum term of 12 months applies to line rental for new customers, existing customers taking additional lines, home movers and those switching their phone line from another provider, signing up to this calling plan. Exclusions and conditions apply.

Line rental of £14.60 per month applies if you pay by Direct Debit or monthly payment plan. Otherwise,add £1.89 per month for payment processing fee levied by BT Payment Services Limited, a BT Group company.

Discount is via bill credit, which will be applied to your next or subsequent bill.

Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan

Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan – standard plan

The Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan is available to eligible residential customers with no minimum period. Please note, a minimum period of 12 months applies to line rental for new customers, existing customers taking additional lines, home movers and those switching their phone line from another provider, signing up to this calling plan.

The price is £3.15 per month plus line rental, which has a monthly cost of £14.60 if you pay by Direct Debit or monthly payment plan.

Otherwise, add £1.89 per month for payment processing fee levied by BT Payment Services Limited, a BT Group company.

Unlimited UK Evening & Weekend calls at no extra cost – 18 months contract deal

Unlimited UK Evening & Weekend calls at no extra cost are available to eligible residential customers agreeing to an 18 month contract on the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan.

You will only pay line rental, which has a monthly cost of £14.60 if you pay by Direct Debit or monthly payment plan. Otherwise add £1.89 per month for payment processing fee levied by BT Payment Services Limited, a BT Group company. Exclusions and conditions apply. Discount is via bill credit, which will be applied to your next or subsequent bill.

If you remain on the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan at the end of the 18 month minimum period you will then start to pay the standard monthly price for the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan of £17.75 per month including line rental if you pay by Direct Debit or monthly payment plan. You cannot downgrade during the 18 month minimum period. If you would like to move onto the Unlimited Anytime Plan you may do so by taking up an Unlimited Anytime special offer but a new contract term will apply. If you decide to end your contract within the 18 month minimum period, you will incur a single charge of £3.00 for each month left of the minimum period. If you don't pay by Direct Debit or monthly payment plan, add £1.89 per month for payment processing fee levied by BT Payment Services Limited, a BT Group company. Exclusions and conditions apply. Discount is via bill credit, which will be applied to your next or subsequent bill.

BT Local, BT Working Together and BT Working Together Talk, Light User Scheme or In-Contact Plus are no longer available for new supply, so customers will not be able to return to these packages at the end of the minimum period.

Unlimited Anytime Plan

Unlimited Anytime Plan – Standard Deal 12 Month contract

Available to eligible new and existing residential customers signing up to the Unlimited Anytime Plan with a 12 month minimum term. Please note, a minimum period of 12 months applies to line rental for new customers, existing customers taking additional lines, home movers and those switching their phone line from another provider, signing up to this calling plan.

The price is £4.90 per month plus line rental, which has a monthly cost of £14.60. The total price you pay is £19.50 per month. All of these prices apply if you pay by Direct Debit or monthly payment plan. Otherwise add £1.89 per month for payment processing fee levied by BT Payment Services Limited, a BT Group company. Standard rates apply to calls to mobiles. If you decide to end your contract within the 12 month minimum period, you will incur a single charge of £5.50 for each month left of the minimum period. Excludes customers currently benefiting from some BT special offers or deals. Other Exclusions and conditions apply.

Unlimited Anytime Plan – UK Anytime Calls – at no extra cost for 3 Months with a 12 month contract – SPECIAL OFFER.

Unlimited Anytime Plan – 3 months free. Available for orders placed via BT.com or by special invitation to new Unlimited Anytime Plan residential customers signing up for 12 months.

For the first 3 months, you will only pay line rental, which has a monthly cost of £14.60. From the fourth month, the full price of £4.90 per month plus line rental will apply. The total price you pay from month 4 onwards is £19.50 per month.

All of these prices apply if you pay by Direct Debit or monthly payment plan. Otherwise add £1.89 per month for payment processing fee levied by BT Payment Services Limited, a BT Group company. Discount is via bill credit, which will be applied to your next or subsequent bill.

At the end of the minimum period of 12 months you will remain on your Unlimited Anytime Plan and pay the full monthly price, currently £19.50. You must stay on the Unlimited Anytime Plan for 12 months and you may not downgrade. If you decide to end your contract within the 12 month minimum period, you will incur a single charge of £5.50 for each month left of the minimum period.

BT Local, BT Working Together and BT Working Together Talk, Light User Scheme or In-Contact Plus are no longer available for new supply so customers will not be able to return to these packages at the end of the 12 month minimum period. Other exclusions and conditions apply.

Previous Connection and Line Rental Offers

The Offers/Deals below are no longer available for new supply. The terms and conditions of these Offers/Deals are applicable only to customers that took these Offers/Deals when they were available and have continued to use the applicable services since the Offer/Deal was taken.

Line Rental Saver

This deal was available between 4th July 2010 and 12th November 2010. Available to new and existing residential customers for a single advance payment of £113.88 (inc VAT). Payment by debit/credit card only. Line Rental Saver charge is non-refundable. Must be taken with a BT calling plan. Provides 12 months standard telephone line rental with no minimum contract term for a reduced equivalent monthly charge of £9.49 when taken with the Unlimited Weekend Plan (normally £14.60), £12.49 with the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan (normally £17.75) or £14.19 with the Unlimited Anytime Plan (normally £19.50). Monthly Call Plan prices quoted include line rental charges (currently £14.60) and are with payment by Direct Debit. Otherwise add £1.89 per month for payment processing fee levied by BT Payment Services Limited, a BT Group company. Discount is via bill credit, which will be applied to your next or subsequent bill. Customers will not have been charged the standard new line connection price of £130.00. You cannot downgrade during the minimum period. If you upgrade to the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan your contract term will continue. For the first 3 months, you will only pay line rental, which has a monthly cost of £14.60 . From the fourth month, the full price of £6.50 per month plus line rental will apply. The total price you pay from month 4 onwards is £21.10 per month.

At the end of the minimum period of 12 months you will remain on your Unlimited Anytime Plan and continue to pay the full monthly price of £21.10.
