How to switch your phone

Get a BT landline that gives you more. Whenever you make calls, we’ve got a plan for you.

  • Choose one of our great value phone packages.

  • No need to contact your current provider – we’ll do this for you. You can normally keep your phone number too. We’ll let you know when you order.

  • We'll give you the earliest available switching date (normally within 2 weeks) or you can choose a later date.

If you're getting BT Broadband, then a compatible line is required otherwise we may charge you a one-off £30 connection. If you’re reconnecting your line then we won’t charge you.

If you're just ordering a BT phone package, you may have to pay a connection charge but we'll let you know when you order. There's a £50 fee for activating an existing line that's provided by BT or another provider. And it's £65 for installing a new line. (This is an online special offer as it's normally £130.)
