Digital switchover completes in:
Get set for switchover with BT Vision
TV across the UK is going Digital and by October 2012 the whole of the UK will have switched over. With digital TV reception, you'll get more TV channels, a better quality picture, and great new interactive features – but any analogue TVs you have will no longer work.
The digital switchover has already been completed in some areas. Remaining TV regions will switchover by October 2012.
Visit Digital UK for full details of switchover in your area.
As long as you've chosen a digital TV service like BT Vision before the switchover date, you'll be fine. All the TVs in your house will need to be enabled for digital TV coverage or they will stop working. If you already have BT Vision you'll need to retune your Vision+ box after switchover has happened to pick up your new Freeview channels.
As well as Freeview TV, you'll get Catch-up from the best of the last 7 days' TV from BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 as well as iPlayer. You'll get a BT Vision+ box included with your TV package which lets you pause, record and rewind live TV. Plus you can watch any extra films, TV shows and sport you want on demand. It's easy to setup – just plug in the Vision+ box and it'll guide you through a quick installation. It you prefer you can choose for an engineer to install the service for you. We offer 24/7 expert support, just in case you need it. With BT Vision there's no satellite and no fuss.
Freeview isn't available everywhere. Check which Freeview channels you can get at home as well as Premium Sports (Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports 2 and ESPN).
Our Digital TV packages come with:
From 14th September 2012 ESPN, Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 add-ons will only be sold to Vision customers who are within a BT Infinity broadband enabled area. Use our checker to find out if you are eligible.
* To get BT Vision you'll need BT Total Broadband or BT Infinity with a 12 month minimum term, a fast-enough line, a BT Home Hub (included if you haven't already been given one) and a Vision+ box. Freeview requires a suitable rooftop aerial and coverage (www.bt.com/freeview). You'll need to pay a £49 activation fee and on-demand charges are payable. £6.95 delivery charge applies. If you stop your service in the first year we'll charge you up to £199. You need to pay by Direct Debit. We now offer our 500Gb Vision+ box as standard. See www.bt.com/tv for details and terms.
